Landscape photography is my passion, and i am lucky to be living in a very scenic part of the world, in Lahinch, county Clare, on the west coast of Ireland. Born in France , i grew up in Britany, never too far from the sea. Involved in all sorts of watersports, i practised windsurf, canoeing, scuba-diving, surfing, and even worked as a sailing instructor. Today i still feel the same attraction for the sea and the coastal surroundings, and that is what makes it such an essential part of my inspiration as a landscape photographer. I do believe that you take better shots of things you really like and understand. Here, on the west coast of Ireland i get to witness the power of the natural elements, rivers, winds and waves have sculpted our surroundings for millions of years, giving us such landscapes marvels as the Cliffs of Moher, or the Burren. I am a witness of Nature’s work, and that’s what i try to conveye through my lens. philippe Gosseau.
